Pavement scooters are the ideal walking replacement and offer a comfortable alternative for when you need to be out and about. Our Pavement scooters are class 2 vehicles and sit perfectly between the larger 8 mph scooters and the lighter weight folding scooters. Even though our pavement scooters are not allowed to be used on the road, they do have many of the features that can be found on larger models, such as lights, suspension and long travel distances. Sporting movable armrests and comfortable seats made for long travel sessions, our pavement scooters are the just the ticket to get you out and about in style.
Not Just For The Pavement
As the name suggests, a pavement scooter is ideal for public walkways and pavements, but it can also be used in super markets and some larger shops. You are not allowed to use your class 2 scooter on the road, but you are allowed to use it to cross the road. A good rule of thumb is anywhere you would normally walk, you can use your Pavement Scooter. Building access will vary depending on the venue, but usually shopping malls, retail centres and large supermarkets should be fine. If you are unsure, call the venue first to double check about class 2 scooter access.
Class 2 pavement scooters do not need to be registered with the DVLA and do not require road insurance. There is no age restriction for using in a class 2 pavement mobility scooter.
